On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, members of the B. H. Graning Landscapes team traded their work boots and daily routines for roller coasters, delicious food, and a day of fun at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee! This special employee appreciation trip was an opportunity to recognize our team’s dedication, celebrate a successful sales month, and enjoy some well-deserved time together outside the workplace.
A Day Away to Celebrate Our Team
The adventure began early Tuesday morning as employees gathered at our Sylva headquarters and boarded a chartered bus provided by the Cherokee Boys Club. With transportation, park admission, breakfast, and lunch provided by the company, the only thing employees needed to bring was their enthusiasm for a fun-filled day!
The bus ride offered an opportunity to catch up with coworkers, share a few laughs, and enjoy the beautiful fall scenery as we traveled from the mountains of Western North Carolina into Tennessee.
Once at Dollywood, everyone was free to enjoy the park at their own pace. From thrilling roller coasters and amusement rides to exploring the park’s attractions, sightseeing, and enjoying plenty of delicious food, there was something for everyone.
Some employees sought out the biggest thrills, while others preferred a more relaxed experience, taking in the sights, browsing shops, and enjoying the festive fall atmosphere. No matter how the day was spent, the goal was the same: have fun, relax, and enjoy time together!
Celebrating Success Beyond the Jobsite
This trip was more than just a day at an amusement park. It was a celebration of the collective effort that makes B. H. Graning Landscapes successful.
Our company operates across multiple locations and divisions throughout Western North Carolina, with employees working in landscape maintenance, construction, design, sales, administration, and many other essential roles. While our teams work toward common goals every day, their responsibilities don’t always allow for much time together outside of work.
Events like our Dollywood trip create opportunities for employees from different departments to connect, strengthen friendships, and get to know one another beyond their daily responsibilities.
Whether sharing a roller coaster ride, enjoying a meal together, or simply laughing about the day’s adventures, these experiences help build the relationships that make our workplace special.
And while team building was certainly part of the day, there were no meetings, presentations, or work assignments on the agenda—just an opportunity to have a good time!

By the time the bus headed back to Sylva that evening, everyone had enjoyed a full day of adventures, laughter, good food, and time spent with coworkers.
The rides and attractions were certainly highlights, but the best part of the day was simply being together.
As we continue to grow and serve the communities of Western North Carolina, we’re reminded that success isn’t measured only by the projects we complete or the services we provide. It’s also reflected in the relationships we build and the people who stand behind our work.
