The Background
This past summer, a retired couple chose to settle into their dream mountain home in the picturesque landscapes of Western North Carolina. The house, while charming, had been neglected over the years, and much of the existing landscaping had been removed during a previous waterproofing project on the lower level. The homeowners sought to revitalize their property with a design that embraced the natural beauty of the area.

- Raised Garden Beds: Adjacent to the patio, raised beds were built to accommodate both flowers and vegetables in future seasons.
- Walking Paths: Stone pathways extended from the patio through the property, connecting to the existing Mountain-to-Sea Trail.
Greg Bufkin, Crew Leader, coordinated the project’s implementation and ensured quality throughout. Despite delays in the start date, the couple found the team attentive and compassionate, particularly when the husband faced an unexpected medical emergency.
