In September, we proudly sponsored four women from our administration team to attend the 26th Women in the Green Industry Conference in Chicago, IL, hosted by SiteOne. These female leaders joined over 300 professionals from across the green industry for personal and professional development opportunities. Through networking, attending insightful sessions on sustainability, leadership, and more, our team members expanded their knowledge and strengthened their bonds.
The BHGL Employee Fall Fair: A Celebration of Teamwork and Community
On October 17th, we hosted our annual Employee Fall Fair, an event designed to bring our team together, celebrate our achievements, and have a little fun along the way. Employees from all our locations – Sylva, Canton, and Tuckasegee Supply Yard – gathered for a day filled with team-building activities, friendly competitions, and educational sessions that reinforced our company’s core values: teamwork, safety, and community.
The event featured:
- Team-building pumpkin carving contest showcasing our team’s creativity and competitive spirit.
- Educational opportunities highlighting the benefits and resources available to our employees, with a focus on safety and growth.
- A delicious potluck meal provided by our employees and vendors, creating a family-like atmosphere.
- Raffle prizes and company trivia that added excitement to the day.
